Star quarterback Tom Brady is ranked in the 100th season of the US Football League NFL with Super Bowl champion New England Patriots. The Foxborough team defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 33-3 on Sunday, while 42-year-old Brady shone with three touchdown passes and threw for a total of 341 yards. Mark Nzeocha, the only active German in the new season, helped in the opening victory of his San Francisco 49ers, however, actively.

The Californians won at Tampa Bay Buccaneers with 31:17, linebacker Nzeocha shone with a punt block and an interception: After just 90 seconds he blocked the shot of Buccaneers punter Bradley Pinion and allowed his team the ball gain near the enemy end zone. Shortly before the end of the first half Nzeocha also caught a pass from Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston.

Dorsett and Gordon catch touchdown passes.

On the way to the Super Bowl on February 2nd in Miami, the Patriots and Brady showed in a strong early form. Two of his touchdown passes were taken by Phillip Dorsett, one received by Josh Gordon, and Stephen Gostkowski also scored four field goals. “Our defense was strong and made it possible for us,” said Brady, “from that position we shone in the passing game.”

The “GOAT” ultimately threw passes for 341 yards, and preferred playing station was his buddy Julian Edelman. The MVP of the Super Bowl LIII caught six passes for 83 yards on eleven targets and threw the egg once for 32 yards. On the other hand Ben Roethlisberger was unsuccessful despite 276 passing yards in the air, even intervened by an interception by Devin McCourty.

Brown may officially join the team on Monday

Their exceptional class proved the Patriots even without the star newcomer Antonio Brown. The superstar had fallen out with his former club Oakland Raiders and provoked his expulsion. Wide Receiver Brown may be officially reassured on Monday that the Master strikes had been known since the weekend. “We need to use his speed,” Brady said, “He’s a great player, and we’re thrilled to get him.”
